Well, it snowed all day yesterday and then we woke up to about 5" this morning and it's still coming down. It has completely covered the daffodils, the pansies and the bright spring green grass that has already been mowed several times. I can't wait to put this white stuff behind us and really truly embrace all of the green. But, until then, I will just stare at the most fantastic room that was just completed by Kim Lemmon of The Green Room Interiors {pretty appropriate name!}

 I just love the transformation that her living room went through. With very few original architectural details, Kim was able to infuse a bright, comfortable relaxed living room with 2 separate spaces.   

 I am dying to get my hands on this 'Lemon Tree' Schumacher fabric. Love, love, love it.

 Most of the rooms pieces are thrifted or upcycled and received a new paint job or new upholstery. And how about that gallery wall...

I spotted the screen printed designs of Swedish artist Lisa Bengtsson on Poppytalk and I went nuts for her newest collection that will debut in May. This playful design showcases 'Swedish summer meets Bohemian chic'. Lisa takes a magnifying glass into an overgrown garden and explores its life -- a life where fish, strawberries, deer and flowers overlap into a charming wonderland. 

The collection, which translated means "Keep the hat, here comes Miss Sun, Barefoot and Dear Mr Olsson" will only be available for a short time through Hemtex, a Scandinavian textile shop, in May. I will arm wrestle you for them if you get in my way (I have successfully defeated both of my teenagers in this competition...just saying)

It really is one of those 'walk in the front door and breathe deep' kinda homes. After a year and a half of remodeling, the home is rustic and comfortable and a departure from her city homes, but, has Ashley's stamp all over it.   

 I really like the gray trim and clean white walls. And if you are a detail studier like moi, then you will recognize these white slipcovered chairs from their original home above at the dining room table. As well as the Wyeth painting over the fireplace.  

 And this Grey George Sherlock sofa looked as equally lovely in it's previous living room {pic 6}

A few months back, you may remember that I had a little photo shoot at my house. I really wanted a terrarium in the room. And this little terrarium inspiration hit me the night before the crew was to show up. {I'm not going to pretend that this is rare--this is generally how my brain works}  So, I grabbed the glass from Michaels, ran into Lowes, and bought a small plant {don't even know what kind}. I know that you are supposed to have a layer of pebbles and charcoal and good soil and other stuff to make a terrarium the right way. But I didn't have time for correct, I only had time for pretty. I ran out to the back yard next to the creek and pulled a chunk of moss out of the earth. I covered the bottom of the glass with the moss, stuck my finger in to make a hole and stuck the plant through the hole. I watered it a little and closed it up with the lid. Perfect!

I thought that when it started to croak, I would empty it out and plant it correctly--you know with dirt and all. But, here we are 2 months later and that silly thing couldn't be happier. When I planted it, the plant was about 4" tall, now I have to snip it back because it's too big.  

I take the lid off about once a week for the day to let it get fresh air and to dry out a bit because it is amazing how wet a contained eco-system is!!
