Hi friends! It's been a little while since we've met here. My weekend was spent planning and creating for a big reception that is happening tonight for a really special lady. It's going to be a very bittersweet evening and I am excited to show you pictures in the next few days. Since I am knee deep in party planning and I have family driving in to attend, today I wanted to revisit a piece of jewelry that is so special to me. A few years ago, I did a post on glass artist Melissa Schmidt's etsy store, and I thought Valentines week would be a great time to spotlight her bubble necklaces once again.

I selected precious images of my kids, my pets, and my family and emailed them to Melissa. She turned every image into little pieces of slide film. The transparent images are then captured in a glass bubble that she creates. They are delicate and subtle and when they catch a little light, the images come to life.

They are not the easiset to photograph with all of their tranparency and little bubbles and glassy handmade goodness. But, they really are stunning and everytime I wear it, people ask me about it. I love having my own little scrapbook around my neck.
I hope to be back soon! Hope you are enjoying your week!
