Oh Whitney, you were such a big part of my high school years. You were a gorgeous talented lady and the best part--you had hair like me! And you showed me how to rock it!!  

 Oh, I loved you so.

 And I loved nothing more than to dance and boy did you give us some great songs to dance to! In our high school talent show one of my besties, Lori G, did her fabulous rendition of your newest song {at the time} "I wanna dance with somebody' and I was lucky enough to be a back-up singer/dancer with a low volume microphone {good call, Lori}. 

I tweaked the lyrics a bit and Lori even sang 'The greatest love of all' years later at my {1st} wedding. Yea, we won't go down that memory lane...

But this, THIS IS the lane that I so desperately wanted to go down. Every Saturday I would try to figure out how I could get myself to and on Soul Train. And I would have loved nothing more than to have been able to get so emotional down this dance line with you, Whitney.

Whitney, thank-you for sharing your amazing talents with us. You certainly gave us more than one moment in time and so many great memories.
