Yesterday we were lucky enough to wake up to a pretty blanket of snow. So perfect to start our first day of winter. I set out early to do some shopping and traffic was not bad at all. The salespeople who checked me out went out of their way to be kind and helpful and spent more time with me than was expected. And I left the stores with exactly what I was looking for.
In the afternoon, while so many of my neighbors had lost their power, we enjoyed the warmth of our home as I worked on completing a few last minute gifts. And last night, I was able to hug my kids and tell them I loved them before they went off to bed while so many in Connecticut could not..
Perspective... this is my gift this year. Please slow down this holiday and enjoy every moment.
