Hope your weekend was all that you needed it to be. Ours was full. My stairs were finally put in so I was busy with sanding, filling, staining, painting, poly'ing, and then repeating. I have one more coat of paint on the risers and then I can start caulking.    

Next step is removing the yuck behind the x's. Remember all of these options I'm contemplating? yea well, your guess is as good as mine.

It actually happened during last weeks basketball game, but she's stubborn and didn't go for an xray until Friday. That's when the hot pink cast found it's way onto her arm....In an attempt to cheer her up, we found bright lipstick to match the cast and did a very silly 'photo shoot'.

We also spent some time figuring out what glows under black lights. 'What? Why!' you ask. Well, Maris is decorating for Prom this year and she is doing a Rave theme--think disco balls, splatter paint, graffiti, and all things glowy. {It's going to be totally rad, ya'll!} Did you know that if you take the wick {is that what it's called??} out of a highlighter and submerse it in water, a few hours later you have glow water?!

You bet this will be incorporated! In thinking about how to decorate for it, we screwed a black light into our pendant light and tested everything  stuff.

Heck yeah that cast glows!!

Jack, not one to be left out of all the glow goodness, decided he wanted a little bling in his life..go figure. He had a plain-jane X-Box controller that he thought wasn't living up to it's full potential. {He took it apart faster than I could get a true before picture}   

We coated it in Krylon Metallic Gold spray paint.

  There are other buttons and parts that we sprayed bright orange. I'll show you a picture when it's dry and get's put back together.

 It was a busy weekend, so it was nice to snuggle down with these guys and watch the Oscars last night. Wasn't the Cirque du Soleil act amazing?! I loved it!
