Last week we had an away volleyball game that was about an hour from home. It just
so happens that one of the few fabric stores I visit was fairly close to the school.
As you may recall, feathers in the hair were banned in our players hair this season,
BUT, apparently sequined headbands are not….go figure…So, after playing other teams
who wore sequinned headbands, I We decided ‘If you can’t beat 'em, join ‘em'.
So, I ran in to the fabric store and bought 6 yds of blue sequinned elastic.

When you live close to nothing in a tiny town you become
crafty at multi-tasking. With my new car, I discovered--a plug!! A plug means
that my sewing machine can GO MOBILE!! hootie-hoo!!

I set up shop right there in the Foam and Fabric parking lot -- radio going and air conditioning blowing.
Within no time, I had whipped up 12 headbands, all without leaving the drivers seat!
A sweet older gentleman had been standing nearby waiting for his wife to wrap up
her fabric buying. I could tell he thought my shenanigans {ie sewing in the front seat
of my car} were quite humorous. When his wife had finished and came back outside,
he came over to my car and signaled for me to roll down my window. He then proceeded
to point to the hem of his khakis and suggested that they could probably use a little hem…
This could be a side business, peeps. If any of you are looking for a little extra $, and have a
car, a sewing machine and a plug in your car, then you, too, could set up a mobile seamstress
service.

{they are being silly--they actually wear them like a headband- not an Olivia Newton John video}
And when you are done, and covered in sequins, then you simply get out your
vacuum and you plug her in!!

Money making business, I tell you. Think about it.
