If you have a pre-teen/teenager, then it's very likely that you also have an X-Box.
I really know very little about this game, but my son, on the other hand, is a pro. He has several controllers {pictured above} and brought one to me over the weekend with a request to give it a little facelift. I was surprised, but excited--anytime I can cover something in spray paint is a good day. Agreed? {or is it just me?!}

Jack took it all apart-- I can give no instruction on how to do that. After he had it apart, I sanded all the pieces with a sanding block. A sanding block is flexible and makes it easy to get in all the little curves. The plastic is slick and sanding roughs it up a little, allowing the paint to stick.

Metallic Gold was his color choice. It took several very light coats making sure to get in all the nooks and crannies.
There were lots of little buttons and other parts that were originally gray or white. He chose to turn these bright orange.

{Not sure why, but I don't have any pics of the 'orange step'}
After he put it all back together, he was super excited about it.

A custom controller! Pretty snazzy, right?
