Last night I was so excited to be invited to the grand opening party of the new Dwellings. Chris McMillan first opened the eclectic store in 2003 and I was a frequent customer of his unique furniture and accessories. He has now taken over a 10,000 square foot space in Biltmore Village and collaborated with 4 like-minded, fabulously creatve friends, and offers a wonderful new home furnishings experience.

My best designer gal pal, Donna, was my date for the evening and we had such fun admiring all of the goods. This is such a great addition to Asheville!

How fantastic is this acrylic table and chairs??

Artist Heather Lewis filled the space with interactive art created by old school projectors with selected items that were available for guests to rearrange on the bed of the projector. Very particular kinds of shadows suited each location--so cool!!

It was such a fun night mingling with other artists and designers. Best of luck to Chris and all of the great artists involved in the new Dwellings!
