We have arrived in California during it’s Indian Summer and it couldn't be nicer!
We are staying at the most charming boutique hotel—Hotel Monaco, located
in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Check out the lobby and common areas.

I love the rich velvet upholstery and the unexpected color combinations.
Even though the hotel is grand in its size, hand painted finishes, marble
fireplaces, and beautiful oversized artwork, it has a wonderful comfortable
vibe to it. During ‘happy hour’, this room accommodates an enormous
amount of people very comfortably.

And this is our cute room.

Stripes on the walls, the bedskirt, the lampshades, the canopy, and the curtains!!
Would you ever think to use so much pattern? I am shocked at how much I love it!

Leather belts are used to hold the canopy in place.

They are also used to decorate the cornice boards.

How about the scale on that mirror?!

On the end of the bed are our bath robes--seriously could they have chosen anything better?!
And the details are not overlooked on the bathroom shower curtain.

We have seen and experienced so much of what this beautiful city has to offer.
This east coast girl is loving the west coast! And I also love that I got to spend yesterday
with my wonderful blogging buddy, Courtney. {more on that later!}
