Showhouse style: Nancy Duffey

{well that was a long minute, wasn't it....}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was going through some of my old Atlanta Homes magazines and came across a Showhouse done back in 2008 that I had dog-eared. Isn't it fabulous to come across a home that was designed 4 years ago that you might possibly love more now than then {and I loved it LOTS then}.
The designers responsible for this goodie are Nancy Duffey and Beth Webb, and the architect was Keith Summerour. Start to finish, this house was built and furnished in 9 months...that is crazy fast, people.
From this view in the living room, you hardly know you are looking at a dining room and kitchen {well, other than the faucet, Smarty Mcsmartypants}
But step around behind the sofa and you see the Dining Room. The console table doubles as the dining table. Love it!! For all of you small space dwellers, this is a fantastic idea.
And check out the cabinet/drawer fronts.
Yep, you had to look twice to see them, didn't you? They were custom made by Morgan Creek Cabinet Company out of oak with a milk wash. The hood is totally invisible, wrapped with the cabinet panels. The cabinets were taken all the way up to the ceiling so there was no breaking point. They also hide all of the appliances. And it doesn't hurt that they are all wrapped by loads of lovely thick limestone.
I need, want am going to replicate these swings. Chip Cheatam helped design these based off of the design of an antique bed he found. They were produced by Pierce Martin when they were in business.
Most of the tile and the faucets in the home were done by Waterworks.The bath countertops, bath surround and the planked floors were done in Lagos Azul limestone. I adore these floors.
Great, right?! So simple, so clean, so much prettiness packed into a normal sized home! Thanks so much to the lovely Nancy for providing me with so many sources! She also has a store in Atlanta called Scout For The Home, which I'm dying to visit in person.
